Enova would like to enter into a contract with a company that covers Enova's need for deliveries connected to the follow-up of approved projects within the support programme ‘large scale demonstration of future energy systems’, as well as similar/adjoining projects in Enova's portfolio. The aim of the support programme is to demonstrate new technology, digital systems and business models that exploit flexibility in the energy system. In order for the energy industry to verify the usefulness of and eventually start using, new technology and/or new business opportunities that correspond with the aim of the programme, it is decisive that these are demonstrated on a large scale and under real operating conditions.

The contract can be divided into two parts. The first part is consultancy services connected to the concrete projects that were awarded support in January 2019. This part will mostly focus on obtaining information and experience from the projects and assessing to what extent the projects deliver as regards the intention of the support programme. Part two is socio-economic assessments and what benefits large scale demonstration projects have for the total energy system. This analysis must be quantified and it must be clear what prerequisites are required. When carrying out the assignment, we would also like the chosen tenderer to carry out an analysis of how the results from large scale demonstration projects can be used by NVE in the work/development of future regulation.
