The Railway Magazine, which is issued by the Railway Directorate, functions as a sector magazine that covers all sides of the railway. The tenderer will produce (editorial design and layout) the magazine on paper and must be able to publish material in the digital edition as agreed.
Before the ordinary production of the magazine starts, the tenderer must make adjustments to the design and columns of both the paper and web editions, in cooperation with the contracting authority.
The contracting authority would also like strategic advice on the use of social media and newsletters. The contracting authority currently uses newsletters but not social media channels and needs support for an appropriate way to start using social channels — taking the directorate's role into consideration. There can also be a need to reassess the way that the newsletters are produced and distributed.
The service for the paper edition includes editorial design, layout, picture processing, illustrations and graphics, technical proofreading, printing, stapling, packing, distribution and keeping address lists up to date.
