NRK wants to enter into a contract for a data protection officer who must undertake the tasks based on a service agreement, cf. the General Data Protection Regulation's (GDPR) article 37, No 6.
The main task of the data protection officer is to inform and provide advise related to the obligations NRK has in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, to NRK's data processors and to NRK's employees. NRK emphasises that parts of our processing of personal data are subject to the exception of the Freedom of information.
The framework agreement period is 1 year, with an option for NRK to extend the contract for a further 1 + 1 + 1 year.

The main task of the data protection officer is to inform and provide advise related to the obligations NRK has in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, to NRK's data processors and to NRK's employees. Please note that parts of NRK's processing of personal data are subject to the exception of the Freedom of information.

In accordance with NRK's policy statement for the protection of privacy the data protection officer must report directly to the top manager of NRK but must be independent in this role. This means that the data protection officer shall not be instructed by the top management in the performance of the duties. It is NRK as the data controller and NRK's data processors who are responsible for ensuring that Personal Data Act is complied with. This is not the privacy data officer's responsibility.

The privacy data officer shall make sure compliance with the Personal Data Act and other relevant regulations for protection of privacy, as well as NRK's internal guidelines for protection of privacy, which are part of NRK's internal control system for privacy.

The data protection officer must be able to meet in NRK's premises at Marienlyst in Oslo on short notice and in accordance with requirements. NRK uses Teams as an electronic communication system and it is a requirement that the privacy data officer masters this system.

NRK shall provide a software tool for the Data Protection Officer. This tool shall be used for all services / assignments where such this is required.

The supply of service starts at 5 January 2021.
