The Directorate of Health is collaborating with KS on the implementation of national management education for the primary health service.
The Ministry of Health and Care Services has given the Directorate of Health the task of procuring national management education for the primary health service. The aim is to offer further education for managers in municipal and County health and care services from autumn 2021. This is a continuation of the current national management education for the primary health service after the current contract with Handeslhøyskolen BI expires in spring 2021.

The Directorate of Health would like to enter into a contract with a tenderer for management education for managers within municipal and County health and care services nationwide. It must be possible to take the education as a free-standing module equivalent to 30 study points. It must also be possible to take a masters degree in management. The tenderer who is awarded a contract will be free to enter into collaboration contracts with other professional environments (education institutions or other professional environments, consultants, etc.) in order to ensure quality and geographical coverage.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:

Duration of the contract.

The contract will be valid from 15 October 2020 up to and including June 2023. The first class must start in autumn 2021.

The contracting authority will have an option to extend the contract for a further 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 year. If the option is to be taken up, the tenderer will receive written notification at the latest three months before the contract expires.

Options for an expansion of study places and new modules.

Options for an expansion of the number of study places and new modules. The number of study places can be increased (new classes/increased number of students) and/or the development of supplementary course(s) to make an overall experience-based masters programme in health management for the primary health service can occur during the contract period. An expansion of the number of classes presumes separate financing and is subject to the required grants through the Norwegian Parliament's discussions on the annual budgets.

The agreed price per student will also be used for any expansion and for the establishment of a supplementary module.
