Helse Fonna HF (Fonna Hospital Trust) has approved the expansion of the hospital in Haugesund as well as the consequent reconstruction in the existing building. The construction project is called ByggHaugesund2020. The preliminary project was approved by the boards of Fonna Hospital Trust and the Western Norway Regional Health Authority in spring 2017. The loan was granted in the 2018 State Budget.
The construction works at ByggHaugesund2020 are planned to take place in two stages, the first being the construction of an 18 000 m new construction with consequent reconstruction of 6 000 m of vacated premises. The second stage is planned for 2030 and consists of a new construction of about 15 000 m.
The contracting authority wants tender offers for temperature monitoring systems.
Fonna Hospital Trust, Section for Laboratory Medicine, will procure temperature monitoring systems. The system will temperature-monitor equipment/rooms that are critical to safeguard patient safety.

The system is intended for use in premiss and equipment in the new building at Haugesund Hospital, which will be completed in 2021. The system will be used to monitor temperatures in rooms, including refrigeration rooms, freezer rooms and rooms that must maintain room temperature. Furthermore, the system will monitor the temperature in refrigerators, freezers and incubators. We would also like to be able to monitor the temperature in other instruments if this is deemed to be appropriate. The offered system must contain sensors and software. Sensor requirements are stated in the requirement specification. Software must be able to receive and store data from sensors, and have the possibility of summarising this data in a flexible and appropriate manner for the buyer (user). The system must also be able to give warnings in accordance with the requirements in the requirements specification when measurements fall outside of the given temperature requirements for the individual sensor. It is important that the system can be sectioned in a manner that makes it possible to log data from dedicated areas (equipment/rooms) for transmission of data with associated alarms to defined users.
