The framework agreement period is 2 years, with an option for an extension for maximum 2 years (divided into 1 + 1 year), total 4 years.
The contracting authority emphasises that contracts established on the basis of call-offs under this framework agreement will have a long duration, and will be seen as strategically important for the services in question.
Each call-off contract will have the duration defined in each call-off. The duration can be longer than the duration of the framework agreement.

At the same time that the framework agreement is signed, the first call-off will be made, based on SSA-B for system development services for FM and SFM. Under the contract for consultancy services, the tenderer must provide a team that meets the required competence and capacity requirements.

In addition to covering the initial needs for FM and SFM, the framework agreement can also be used for call-offs to cover future needs for system development services and consultancy services for projects and activities that are connected to or associated with FM or SFM.

The prescription module (FM) is a system that is used in production that is currently managed by Norsk Helsenett's (NHN) line organisation, in close collaboration with an external development partner.

The central prescription module (SFM) is currently being developed as a separate project in Norsk Helsenett with the same development partner. The plan is that SFM will in time replace FM and that FM will be phased out.

NHN currently has a contract with Thula as the development partner for the management and development of FM and SFM.
