The Haus district of Oslo has been subject regulation as a special area - urban ecologic cultural district, case S-4387 approved by the City Council 18 June 2008. The cultural building Hausmania is renting Hausmannsgate 34-38 from Oslo municipality. The property comprises several buildings with i.a. two old industrial halls made of concrete. These buildings are situated near the Aker river back on the back of the cultural building Hausmania. These buildings shall be demolished and a new building shall be constructed containing i.a. a concert hall, an art exhibition premise, two floors with an art studio, etc.
This contract involves engineering design manager services (Norwegian abbreviation: PGL). In general, the PGL shall ensure that the requirements and expectations of the developer and users are adequately elucidated, and that all the design partners cooperate well and deliver the right quality at the right time. The PGL has an extended responsibility for organising and coordinating the participants in the interaction group, and must ensure that design meetings are held where all necessary professional groups participate.
