Helse Sør-Øst RHF shall establish a new hospital in Drammen. It has been decided that the new hospital must be located at the Brakerøya industrial area.

Contract 2302 for the project New Hospital in Drammen includes the establishment of a framework for half of the treatment building, the out-patients clinic 2, half of the bed post building and the service building with related groundwork.

The contractual work shall partly be executed on an in situ concrete basement and partly in the terrain outside the basement. The piling foundations must be executed in the areas outside the basement, mainly by steel core piles and HP piles for up to 75 metres depth in rock. The upper part of the piles must be reinforced with an extra casing.

The framework for the treatment building, the out-patients clinic 2 and the service building must be executed as in situ concrete structures, while the service building must be executed with a loadbearing system made of steel and pre-fabricated concrete surfaces with a structural integral cast. All reinforced structures must be executed as in situ concrete The load-bearing system for the pedestrian glass street, technical rooms on the roof and facade columns must be made of steel.

Four radiation bunkers must be executed as in situ concrete structures with a self-weight of 35 kN/m

For areas not containing basements, the surface on level 1 must be established as a zone for technical ducts that must be filled with gravel with an integral cast above. The technical dusts in the basement must be filled with gravel and integral cast above is included in this contract.

Amounts:

Steel core piles: approx. 198, total approx. 14 600 m.

In situ concrete surfaces: 24 700 m

Prefabricated concrete structures: 8 400 m

Structural integral cast: 8 400 m

Other in situ concrete structures: Approx. 7 000 m

Heavy concrete: 2 100 m

Reinforcement: approx. 3 400 tonnes

Steel structures: 1 100 tonnes

Gravel: 7 800 m

Integral cast on gravel: 5 900 m

Building engineering auxiliary work, consulting engineer,…

… electrical installations (RIE): Grounding system welded to piles and partly cast in the bottom plate and the shelf beam, ducts in the gravel layer and cast in concrete.

… HVAC including sanitary installations (RIV): bottom pipes in the gravel layer and pipe sockets, drainpipes and outlets in the integral cast.
