Contract 2301 for the project New Hospital in Drammen concerns the establishment of the framework for half of the treatment building, outpatient clinic 1 and half of the ward building with associated foundations.
The contractual work shall partly be executed on an in situ concrete basement and partly in the terrain outside the basement. The piling foundations will be implemented in the areas beyond the basement, primarily steel core piles and HP piles with up to 70 metres depth to rock. The upper part of the piles must be reinforced with an extra casing.

Helse Sør-Øst RHF shall establish a new hospital in Drammen. It has been decided that the new hospital must be located at the Brakerøya industrial area.

Framework for the treatment building and outpatient clinic 1 will be implemented in in-situ cast concrete while the ward buildings will be constructed with steel support systems and slabs of prefabricated concrete with constructive casting. All reinforced structures must be executed as in situ concrete The load-bearing system for the pedestrian glass street, technical rooms on the roof and facade columns must be made of steel.

For areas not containing basements, the surface on level 1 must be established as a zone for technical ducts that must be filled with gravel with an integral cast above. The technical dusts in the basement must be filled with gravel and integral cast above is included in this contract.

Amounts:

Steel core piles: Approx. 158, total of approx. 10 200 m

Surfaces of in-situ cast concrete: 21 600 m

Surfaces of prefabricated concrete: 8 400 m

Structural integral cast: 5 400 m

Non-structural integral cast: 3 000 m

Other in-situ concrete structures: Approx. 6 000 m

Reinforcement: approx. 2 600 tonnes

Steel structures: 950 tonnes

Crushed stone: 6 900 m

Integral cast on crushed stone: 5 500 m

Leca walls: 1250 m

Building engineering auxiliary work, electrical installations: Grounding system welded to piles and partly cast in the bottom plate and the shelf beam, ducts in the gravel layer and cast in concrete.

Building engineering auxiliary work, HVAC including sanitary installations (VVS): bottom pipes in the gravel layer and pipe sockets, drainpipes, and integral casted outlets.
