Stavanger Cathedral is celebrating its 900 year jubilee in 2025. The cathedral will have a new choir organ for the jubilee, which will replace the current instrument. The cathedral is automatically listed in accordance with the cultural memorial act, and all measures must be approved by the Directorate for cultural heritage and by Stavanger Diocese.
The choir organ must be an all-round instrument that can be used to accompany the choir and congregation and also to make an acoustical contrast to the church's baroque inspired main organ.
