The college offers sixth form education within 8 different education programmes. In addition the college is responsible for prison education and a separate resource centre.
Horten Sixth Form College is a textbook example of a future academic building. The prize winning college was ready for the start of the academic year in autumn 2019. It is Norway's most modern educational building and has the highest environmental classification for educational buildings. (Vestfold County, 2019). The building is classified as BREEAM_NOR Outstanding, plus house, it produces more energy that it uses. 40 % climate reduction, The college buildings can be used as a teaching arena focussing on sustainable development. The college buildings have a top modern canteen kitchen with the associated rooms with professional canteen equipment in all rooms for efficient canteen operations.

The county as a total of just over 420 000 inhabitants and approx. 3 800 employees. The county is politically governed at regional administration level, with its own county Council and county mayor as the top manager. The county has an important assignment in society and is a central development actor. The main assignment is to operate and develop the county within sixth form college education, transport and dental health, and to see to the role of regional development actor by facilitating the development of businesses and jobs, influencing how areas are used, preserving cultural memorials, landscape and environment qualities.

The content and scope of the procurement
The procurement is for the provision of canteen services for Horten Sixth Form College.
The total value of the procurement is estimated to be: NOK 3 500 000, excluding VAT a year (gross turnover). The value is based on statistics and accounts for provisional operations. The value must therefore be seen as a non-binding estimate.
The contract is subject to the decision to continue self-operation of the college canteen. Such a decision is to be seen as a justifiable reason to cancel the contest and possibly enter into a contract after the contest.
