Forsvarsbygg [the Norwegian Defence Estates Agency] has been given the task of planning and construction of properties, building and construction works (EBA) for Norway's new submarines' base. The new submarines will have their main base at Haakonsvern, with an advanced base in Ramsund.
The project includes site preparation works for a new maintenance facility for submarines at the Haakonsvern base. Rock must be collected from the back edge of the site and filled into the sea. The scope of the blasted masses is estimated to 200 000 m of solid masses. Due to restrictions related to spawning ground for the Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua), the filling of masses into the sea must be divided into 2 stages (7 months in 2021 and 5 months in 2022).
Masses that filled in the sea must be subject to deep vibratory compaction and the filling front must be plastered. The establishment of a preload filling for parts of the new filling in the sea is planned. Balancing of masses at the site is planned and the establishment of a crushing mill for crushing gravel masses at the area.
The assignment shall be carried out as a general contract in accordance with NS 8405.
