The renovation of Ruseløkka school has taken longer time than expected and the current contract for school transport services expires in June 2020.
The Agency for Urban Environment must therefore enter into a contract with a bus company that can transport approx. 300 pupils daily from Ruseløkka to Vollebekk.
The Agency for Urban Environment wants the bus company to have 6 to 7 buses available every morning in order to ensure that all pupils are transported to Vollebekk well before the school day starts.
Each bus transport must contain one adult. This may be an employee at the after-school activities service (Norwegian abbreviation AKS) or the school or a substitute who the school finds suitable.
The pupils shall be driven to the school in the morning and collected either at the end of the school day or at the end of the day for after school activities (Norwegian abbreviation AKS).
The requirement for bus transport may be changed or dropped as a result of political decisions.

The contracting authority has an option for extending the contract for up to further 1 + 1 year on verbatim terms.

The contracting authority can give 6 months’ notice of cancellation of the contract if the need no longer exists. Ruseløkka school is scheduled to be completed by Easter 2021.
