The Department of Ophthalmology, Oslo University Hospital Trust shall procure two Optical coherence tomography (OCT) machines. The machines shall be used at the out-patients' clinic. The Department of Ophthalmology has high activity. The operations of the in-patients' clinic is dependent on these machines and they must be expected to be in more or less constant use 8-10 hours every workdays and at some holidays. The contracting authority requieres an OCT machine with all examination modules that must be expected for clinical use at an advanced Ophthalmology department. Factors related to reliable and simple daily operation will be given decisive weight:
— user-friendliness of the machines and interpretation software;
— reliability (downtime must be avoided);
— guarantee for a good network system.
