Askøy kommune

Askøy Municipality would like to enter into a new contract for the operation and maintenance of street lights.
The operation and maintenance of the street light network must be carried out in accordance with the listed requirements, and in accordance with Askøy Municipality's street light norm, which was approved by Askøy Municipal Council on 15 May 2014. Revised on 1 January 2020 cf. annex 1.
The requirements describe how daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in the street light network must be carried out in accordance with registered and ordered deviations.
The street light network means street light installations from and including the street light ignition point up to and including the fixture, on all municipal roads, county roads and some private roads.
Askøy Municipality has a total of approx. 5570 street lights, divided as follows:

Typical activities carried out on inspection rounds, main replacements and ongoing operation and maintenance can be:
— replacing defect lamps;
— cleaning reflectors and screens;
— replacing defect fixtures with lamps;
— repairing/replacing defect components in fixtures (burnt throttles, etc.);
— repairing/replacing defect or missing screens;
— screening fixtures that are blinding;
— repairing/replacing defect/damaged light masts;
— replacing defect or illegal overhead cables;
— repairing loops on bare stretches Mostly changed to ex hanging cables;
— clearing vegetation around masts, street light lines and other street light components;
— localising errors and repairing cable errors (breaks/earth fault);
— repairing/replacing components in street light ignition points (fuses, photocell, contacts, meters, or control systems);
— repairs after vandalism.
The list is not exhaustive.
