The tender applies to the procurement of one high-end ultrasound apparatus for the Picture Diagnostics Department at Levanger Hospital, including the accompanying probes, with an option for one equivalent ultrasound apparatus and probes over a 3-year period.
The equipment will be used for both diagnostics and intervention, including biopsies and drainage insertions. All organ systems and all age groups including children will be examined. The majority are abdominal ultrasounds.
Due to staff holidays, this contest has extended the reply deadline until 31 August 2020.
Questions will not be answered in weeks 27-32.

The apparatus will be used in on-call situations. Good Doppler functionality is important as there are many Doppler examinations.
There must also be good options to examine joints, muscles, etc. A good contrast programme and user friendly picture function with other modalities, both CT and MR are wanted. The picture function is particularly important for examining oncological patients. There is a need for a good selection of probes with a varying footprint size that are suitable for the different anatomical areas.

The equipment will be used 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The estimated value of the procurement including options is between NOK 1 800 000 and NOK 2 500 000 excluding VAT.
The contracting authority expects a lifetime of at least 7 years.
