The procurement comprises both instruments, instrument specific consumables and any other consumables that are required for the analyses.
All the health trusts in Mid Norway (HMR, STO and HNT) are included in the procurement. The procurement can result in there being different tenderers for each individual health trust, but each health trust will only sign a contract with one tenderer.
There can be a separate supplier for special analyses, which are only carried out at STO.
The contract length will vary from health trust to health trust, based on what pricing is required.

Option: Namsos will have one main instrument and one smaller instrument. The small instrument will function as a back-up for the large instrument. The existing instruments are barely 5 years old, and are expected to have a lifetime of approx. 10 years.
