The procurement concerns an ICP-MS triple quadrupole complete with auto sampler and introduction system for analysis of elements, nano particles and radionuclides.
We want a flexible system for determination of elements, nano particles and radionuclides in foodstuffs, fishing and seafood, feed, tissue, tissue fluids, seawater and sludge/sediment.
1a) We will set up a system for routine analysis of foodstuffs, feed, tissue and tissue fluids for the elements V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni,Cu, Zn, As, Se, Mo, Ag, Cd, Hgog Pb (method M). Also analysis of the elements Na, Mg, P, K and Ca (method A) in the same sample types. The matrices seawater and sludge will also be relevant. The system must be able to handle any mass and matrix interference on these elements in these matrices.

1b) We want a system that can be used to analyse different metal and metal oxide-nano particles in ‘single particle’ mode in the same sample types. Particle size distribution, particle concentration, total concentration and ionic concentration will be determined in the samples.

1c) We want to set up a system for determination of radionuclides such as 90Sr, 99Tc, 129I, 135,137Cs, 226Ra, U and Pu isotopes. As of today, relevant matrices are seaweed/kelp,fish-muscle and fish-bone. We want the possibility of including matrices such as seawater and sediments in the future. We want detection limits in the area of 1-10 pg/L in solution.

The service provider must accept and analyse test samples prepared at the Institute of Marine Research. The instrument must perform at its best in regard to sensitivity, selectivity, linear and dynamic range.
