Sandefjord kommune

Sandefjord Municipality would like to procure a tenderer for a project for the construction of a flexible cultural arena.
There will be an interaction phase after the contest has been held and the tenderer is chosen. This involves:
— a review of and detailing critical parts of the project;
— making risk assessments and assessing measures to reduce the risk;
— assessing alteratives for parts of the building and technical solutions;
— assessing financial additions/deductions resulting from changed solutions;
— preparing the basis for the revised contract.
Interaction will only be for the phase between choosing the contractor/supplier and signing the turnkey contract. After the interaction phase, the turnkey contract will be revised for the elements that the parties agree are additions/deductions.
The estimated value of the contract is NOK 52 million. The amount is an estimate and is not considered binding for the municipality.

Sandefjord Municipality would like to construct a flexible cultural arena with a public area for 350 seats or 800 people standing.
Sandefjord Municipality has a goal to use environmentally friendly materials. The use of wood in our buildings is emphasised in the municipality's proposal for a climate and environment plan. Wood has been assessed in the preliminary project. A decision has been made that wooden elements must not be used in the supporting system. This can affect the building's acoustic qualities.

Sound, sound equipment, electronic acoustic installations, and stage curtains will be procured by the Cultural Department and are not included in the turnkey contract. Supplies for these installations are included in the turnkey contract.
The procurement contains i.a. the following disciplines:
— construction,
— heating, sanitation and ventilation,
— electrical,
— automation.
The municipality envisages the following progress in the project:
Interaction phase: November/December 2020
Construction start: December 2020
The building is taken into use: May 2022
