ROAF needs to enter into parallel framework agreements for long-haul transport. The contracting authority sorts different fractions in their post-sorting plant (ESAR) at Skedsmo Miljøpark at Berger in Lillestrøm municipality. The waste is transported to different countries in Europe, and exported on Annex VII, which is the green-listed waste. In 2019, 3 500 tonne of plastic was freighted from ESAR to Germany, the Netherlands and Lithuania. The plastic is baled in about 1 m3 large bales with an individual weight of 500 kg - 800 kg per ball. The contracting authority loads the vehicle, the recipient is responsible for unloading on arrival. Documentation (weight note Commercial Invoice, Annex VII) is sent with the transport. The supplier is responsible for customs at border crossings, all the way to the recipient.
