The chemistry and mineral laboratory at the Institute for Earth Science and Petroleum at NTNU is currently equipped with advanced equipment for chemical and mineralogical analyses of rock types, iron ores and mineral deposits. One of the key instruments in the laboratory is x-ray fluorescence (XRF). The instrument is a central instrument in NTNU's commitment to 'Sustainable Mineral Resource Extraction'. The laboratory must replace the existing XRF and procure a new one.
