The Norwegian Institute of Public Health started monitoring the temperature of all its cooling/freezer units in 1998. The contracting authority currently has approx. 600 measuring points. The system monitors measuring points at 3 different locations. Different types of equipment are used to store/process material at a specific temperature over a given time (cooling/freezing, refrigeration/freezer room, freezers, automatic stores). For example, the material can be viruses, bacteria, DNA, medicines/vaccinations and many different types of media that are used in the laboratory. It is very important that these are stored at the correct temperature. There has also been some temperature monitoring of incubators. 33000000. Emergency power installations and UPS ensure continual operation in the event of a power failure. The contracting authority would like to replace the existing monitoring system in order to profit from reliability, accuracy, safety and user friendliness. A lot of emphasis is put on reliability, documentation and reporting deviations.

Kort beskrivelse:
Tenderers must offer a system for automatic temperature monitoring of cooling and freezing units for laboratories and medicine storage and incubators. In addition the delivery must include hardware, (sensors, etc.), for monitoring the temperature, operation, maintenance and service of the installation and the system. The new system must be easy to use and user-friendly for the operators who will use the system. It must also be possible to run the system without a system manager always being present. We need a system that is well established in the market, with good references. At the same time the system must use future-orientated technology. We would like a package solution where the tenderer sets up a base station/nodes/wireless sensors, completes the programming and finalises the installation, and connects the installation to the offered system, as well as teach superusers to make simple expansions, such as expansions with extra sensors, base stations, etc.

FHI does not want servers located at its locations.
FHI would like to replace the current system for temperature monitoring. The delivery must consist of a monitoring system with graphical user interface and equipment for communication/temperature logging. A monitoring system means a website system that is made available to service recipients via an encrypted HTTPS system, which sees to the functions that are described in the tender documentation, and which is available on several platforms (e.g., PC/mobile units).

The system must be offered as a SaaS (Software as a Service). We would like to minimise cabling, communication equipment and costs connected to electrical installations. FHI would, therefore, like that the actual monitoring is based on a wireless system, with sensors that get their power from batteries. The wireless system must be based on radio link technology, in accordance with the standard for ISM: Industrial-Scientific-Medical.

The equipment that requires temperature monitoring is located at 3 different addresses and there are currently approx. 600 temperature sensors. The 3 locations are Lovisenberggata 6, Lovisenberggata 8 and Sandakerveien 24C.
The contracting authority would first like to test the awarded system for 4 weeks on approx. 10 freezers, split between all the locations before a full-scale installation is commissioned. The system must function in parallel with Senselt, in order to validate that it is functioning satisfactory. Tenderers must submit an installation plan that, amongst other things, describes the testing and installation. The final installation plan must be determined after the testing and approved by FHI.

FHI intends to downscale the number of units that require monitoring. FHI plans to do this over time by gathering units that require monitoring in one area. FHI can also get increased or new assignments that will increase the number of units that will require monitoring. The total need for temperature sensors that are to be installed can therefore deviate from the number that FHI currently has, there can be fewer or there could be more.
