Vehicles with 2 Cells for Transporting Prisoners for the Norwegian Correctional Service

The Directorate of Norwegian Correctional Service (KDI) shall, on behalf the Norwegian Correctional Service's units, enter into a Framework Agreement with a tenderer for the purchase of vehicles with 2 backseat cells for transport of prisoners in custody and convicted prisoners. KDI requests tenders for real estate cars or equivalent with 2 front seats and 2 cells in the backseat.
It is important that the contract ensures efficient systems for the delivery of new vehicles, as well as local access to a service workshop. KDI is located nationwide, from Kristiansand in the south to Vadsø in the north, cf. Annex 10, Overview of Activities.
The Norwegian Correctional Service, the transport service (KTT) head office is in Tønsberg. Less than 30 vehicles for prison transport service in Østlandet are currently in use.
The vehicles are workplaces for the KKT's personnel. It is therefore of vital importance that the vehicle ensures requirements thereof safety, running characteristics, comfort and space for transporting equipment/effects.
