Rehabilitation of areas for BUP at Bærum Hospital must be implemented as a turnkey contract in accordance with NS8407, with start-up in summer 2019. The hospital will be in operation.
The contract work consists primarily of engineering design and implementation of internal upgrading of B2, B1 and the ground floor in the south wing (Building 8a) in gamle Bærum Sykehus [old Bærum Hospital] as well as B1 in the central wing (Building 9C)
The existing floor plan must largely be maintained as it is, while all of the technical infrastructure must be replaced and the areas will be fitted with sprinklers.
The contract work will take place while the hospital is in operation. The project aims to collaborate closely with the hospital and safeguard that the hospital's operation can be maintained with patient safety in focus.
The reconstruction will take place in stages as only one of the floors will be available to the turnkey contractor at any time, and the building users must be moved between the floors between each stage.
