The new building will house shared housing for 50 sheltered accommodation flats, 25 institution places for short-term stays and rehabilitation, as well as the co-localisation of municipal health services such as a day centre, home care services, doctor surgery, health station, mental health, physiotherapy/occupational therapy, production kitchen and urban district cafe.

The total climatised area is approximately 9 500 m

The building will be established on the same site as the current nursing home, and it will be built in 2 phases.

The first construction stage will be established to the north of the current nursing home, which will be in use. The building will then be commissioned and the residents in the existing nursing home will move into the building. The second construction stage starts with the demolition of the existing building and completion of the remaining parts of the new building.

The only part of the existing building that is to be kept is Solhagen/the dementia department, in addition to parts of the technical infrastructure, including a transformer and heat plant.

Both the transformer and the heat plant are to be supplemented by an energy provider for increased capacity.
