The Norwegian Public Roads Administration currently consists of the Directorate of Public Roads and 5 regions. The agency is facing major organisational changes. From 1.1.2020, 1850 employees will be transferred to the counties in connection with Regionreformen [the Regional Reform]. From the same date, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's structure will change from being organised in regions, to a function based organisation with 6 divisions. The agency will be composed of the following divisions: Roads in Tromsø, Transport and Society in Trondheim, Development in Bergen, Road users and vehicles in Arendal, Joint Function in Moss and IT in Drammen. The Directorate of Public Roads will also exist, but as a minor entity.
