The contracting authority wants to enter into a contract for the following:

1 x automation system that will be installed in Fonna Health Trust (system solutions for bacteriology automation, sowing, incubation, identification, expert system, middleware system and conveyor belts that tie everything together).

The Laboratory for Medical Microbiology in the Section for laboratory medicine at Haugesund Hospital will procure bacteriological automation. The highest possible degree of automation of the work processes in the laboratory is desired, i.a. Reception of samples, seeding, incubation, reading and further sample preparation. The equipment must be able to safeguard the hospital's current and future need need for laboratory services within bacteriology, cf. the requirement specification. The automation must contribute to good resource use, operational efficiency and standardisation. Sample logistics and work flow must be efficient and contribute to short reply times at the same time that the solution satisfies the contracting authority’s requirements for both quality and functionality. A high degree of flexibility is important to gain good utilisation of the resources. In addition, there is a focus on good ergonomics and environmental friendliness.

It is important that the automation and all the components have high uptime, the system must be robust and the tenderer must have experience and competence from equivalent projects and a high degree of technical support.

The automation within microbiology must be able to handle samples that are taken in Helse Fonna’s own hospital and in the primary health service, and must have capacity that safeguards the planned production in 2021, as well as a future increase of 5-7 % during each of the first 7 years.

All equipment in the delivery must be of such a nature that one is able to fulfil all requirements in relation to NS-ISO 15189, and the new requirements in Regulation (EU) 2017/746 that come into force in the spring of 2022 for in vitro diagnostics medical units.

All additional equipment including any software and integrations that are necessary for the automation with the instruments to work, must be described and included in the tender.

The drawings will identify room number 6.2.004 Laboratory Automation.

We refer to Annex 2, the requirement specification, for more detailed automation.

Tenderers must present documentation of their legal registration in a company register or a trade register in the country where the tenderer is established.

Tenderers shall have sufficient economic and financial capacity to fulfil the contractual obligations.

Economic and financial capacity means that the Tenderer fulfils the following requirements:

A credit rating of at least score A or higher, measured against the AAA Soliditets scale, or an equivalent score from another reputable rating company.
