The purpose of this framework agreement is to meet Ruter's need for transport that is not included in existing contracts. For example, this could be when there is road work, rehabilitation of infrastructure on rail transport within Oslo, and other replacement traffic.
Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold will be merged and will change their name to Viken from 1.1.2020. After that date, Ruter's area will include parts of Viken, in addition to Oslo. For contract D, mini-competitions could be conducted in a possible expanded area for Ruter as determined at any time. The other contracts will only apply within the geographical area that applies to Ruter at the time of start up for the framework agreement.
