The Norwegian Parliament has, through the presentation of Proposition No. 151S (2015-2016) the project “Kampkraft og bærekraft”, suggested major structural alterations, and of which the Trøndelag area, mainly the bases located in Ørland and Værnes, shall be one of several target areas. The preliminary plans shows an investment frame between 3-6 000 000 000 NOK. The contract period is 8 years. However, the scope of the investments is subject to uncertainty.
