Renovasjonsselskapet for Drammensregionen IKS (RfD) is an inter-municipal company that is currently owned by 9 municipalities. There will be changes in the owner structure after the municipality merger reform. From and including 1.3.2020, the owner municipalities will be Drammen, Lier, Modum, and Øvre Eiker. Svelvik and Nedre Eiker Municipalities will become part of Drammen Municipality, Sande will merge with Holmestrand, and Hurum and Røyken will merge with Asker Municipality.
The collection of all household waste is included in RfD's administration responsibility. This includes collection schedules for all households and the operation of recycling stations. RfD also has some business customers.

The aim of the procurement is to enter into a contract for the disposal of cardboard, paper and plastic from the following recycling stations:
— Lindum,
— Enger,
— Lyngås,
— Mile,
— Svelvik.
The assignment concerns the hire of suitable collection units, transport of the waste, as well as a system for further treatment of the waste. The treatment can consist of sorting, compacting, baling, milling, material recycling and final treatment, or a combination of these.
