Vernebygg AS is a 100 % owned municipal property company, owned by Hadsel municipality. Hadsel municipality is a municipality in the Vesterålen area. The municipality has approx. 8 000 inhabitants. The municipal centre is located in Stokmarknes which is the “Birthplace of the coastal steamer Hurtigruten”.
Hurtigrutemuseet (the Norwegian Coastal Express Museum) was opened in 1993, and has its natural location in Stokmarknes, the Birthplace of the coastal steamer Hurtigruten. A New Norwegian Coastal Express Museum shall be constructed for the disembarked coastal streamer “MS Finnmarken” built in 1956 as well as 1 000 m new exhibition halls.
This is a call for tenders where the objective is to enter into a contract for a builder's representative service for the construction of a new preservation building for the disembarked coastal streamer MS Finnmarken school and a new Norwegian Coastal Express Museum in Stokmarknes. The project includes construction works for a new building and reconstruction works for the current building.
The builder's representative service shall cover the following functions: BHO (Builder's Representative), SHA (Safety, health and work environment coordinator), KU (coordination in the execution stage) and KP (coordination in the engineering design stage), all functions are henceforth referred to as BHO.
The BHO for the project shall be the builder´s on-site representative at the construction site and the link between the turnkey contractor and the builder.
