Færder Kommune [Municipality] has adopted the main reconstruction/total rehabilitation of the previous nursing home at Nøtterøy — Hjemsengveien 7, Gipø Vest. Adjacent building, Gipø Øst, was totally rehabilitated in 2017. The project is a total of approx. 4 750 m (GFA) over 3 stories plus basement. Among other things, there are facilities allocated for health-related service rental on the ground floor (physio, doctor, pharmacy, hairdresser and nursing, etc.), day centre, cafe and communal square. On the first floor and second floor, amongst other things, 26 sheltered accommodations and a common lounge will be built. In the project, a separate parking facility will be established (approx. 65 spaces) for municipal service vehicles and employee parking for the surrounding buildings and outdoor delivery in line with the drawings/requirement specification. The project consists of engineering design and main reconstruction of the day centre, cafe, health related rental and pharmacy/groceries/boutique, etc. (ground floor) and sheltered accommodations (first and second floor). The cellar is planned to be used for remote storage archives, storage, technical room, cleaning, offices, bomb shelter and activity room day centre, etc.
