Sandefjord Treatment Facility was completed in 1976 as a mechanical treatment facility/primary precipitation facility. In accordance with a decree given by the County administrator the plant shall now expanded to include a biological treatment stage in order to meet the secondary requirement in the EU's sewage sludge directive.
The existing basins are to be built in and there will be constructions around the secondary treatment process. The new building will be constructed towards the south of the existing facility as a concrete and steel building that includes simple office functions/cloakrooms, ventilation installations, a biological process with basins in the basement, as well as pump screws in the protruding part of the west facade.
The estimated value is 80 000 000 NOK. This is only an estimate and it does not represent any obligations for the contracting authority.
