The Mareano programme is multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional, and the mapping is carried out in a collaboration between the Norwegian Mapping Authority, the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) and the Institute of Marine Research (HI). The programme is managed by a Programme Group, whilst five ministries make up the Steering Committee.
