The Ministry of Culture has given the Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property the task of preparing a preliminary project for the renovation of the National Theatre. The National Theatre's main building was constructed in 1899 in Studenterlunden in Oslo. The building was listed for protection in 1983. There is a need for renovation of and upgrades to the constructional conditions and technical installations at the National Theatre.

The Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property is looking for consultant engineers for acoustics for the renovation of the National Theatre. In addition we are looking for electro acoustics consultants (H103 RIELAKU) for the user equipment project in the renovation work (see point 2.8). Tenderers can participate in one or both contests, possibly as groups of companies.

RIAKU will contribute in all situations that can involve acoustic changes/improvements, and will cooperate closely with the architect, electro acoustics consultant, etc., and give them conditions for acoustic solutions. The project is challenging as we would like to have clearer speech in the listed main hall. Different changes, such as the design of the hall floor can be examined. The engineering design services for conventional loudspeaker installations will be carried out by RiELAKU. In addition to such conventional installations, the project includes a thorough examination of any use of electro acoustics in order to get clearer speech for pure-speech theatre in the listed main hall.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:

The intention is to transfer RIAKU to the engineering design group with the other professions (H001 PG). The engineering design group will prepare a draft and preliminary project. Execution of detailed engineering design and follow up in the construction and warranty phase, is depending on our Contracting Authority deciding to go ahead, and that there are funds allocated. These phases are considered as options.

Company Registration Certificate, foreign companies are required to have a corresponding certificate as prescribed by the laws of the country where the company is registered.

The Directorate of Public Construction and Property will carry out a credit rating of tenderers.

Tenderers can, in addition, be asked to submit the auditor confirmed annual accounts, alternatively, state StartBANK ID.
