Kort beskrivelse:
The overall aim of the assignments is to get an adequate account of the arts field´s roles and actors, the organisation of artistic practices and trends and the structural surroundings for the production and viewing of art.
The sub-projects shall contribute to shedding light on the following conditions: Public access to art and the art´s public, regional art arenas and internationalisation of the visual art field. The results of the three sub-projects will be included as part of the knowledge basis in future policies.

Sub-project 1: Review of available statistics on the visual arts in Norway.
Sub-project 2: Mapping and analysis of strategies and policies for visual arts.
Sub-project 3: Research assignment on artistic practice, access to resources in and the organisation of the visual arts field.
The total cost limit for the research assignments is NOK 2 million excluding VAT. The cost distribution between the different assignments is as follows:
Sub-project 1: 300 000 NOK excluding VAT.
Sub-project 2: 500 000 NOK excluding VAT.
Sub-project 3: 1 200 000 NOK excluding VAT.
