Public Areas at Nyhavna — Parallel Assignments

Trondheim Kommune

Trondheim has a unique possibility to develop a central, future-orientated and distinctive urban district by the water. The area currently has important sea transport, industrial workplaces and cultural businesses, whilst the municipal sub-plan for Nyhavna from 2016 opens up for a transformation to a central urban district, where cultural memorials from the Second World War and proximity to the water will be included in the further development of the area´s identity. Several programmes are to be prepared as part of the further work, before the sub-areas can be developed in detail. These programmes are important policy instruments to ensure that Nyhavna will be an attractive urban district for people to live in, work in and visit. The parallel assignment is the first phase of the work on a quality programme for public areas. The intention is to get ideas and good illustrated proposals for the design of public areas.

The parallel assignment will be formulated and implemented by Trondheim Municipality, c/o the Town Plan Office, in cooperation with Trondheim Port, Bane NOR Eiendom and Norske arkitekters landsforening (NAL). The assignment is financed by Trondheim Port, Trondheim Municipality and Bane NOR Eiendom.

The Contracting Authority requires that the tenderer's and any sub-suppliers´ wages and working conditions are in accordance with generally applicable tariff agreements or nationwide tariff agreements for the appropriate area covered by the contract. Wage and working conditions are in this context defined as provisions on minimum working hours, wages, including overtime supplements, shift and rota supplements and inconvenience supplements and coverage of expenses for journeys, food and lodgings, to the degree that such provisions are in the tariff agreement.
