The Directorate is the central agency for processing applications from foreign nationals who wish to visit or live in Norway, the running of asylum reception centres and expulsion cases. UDI as a central national professional body for the immigration and refugee field, shall implement and contribute to development of the Norwegian Government's immigration and refugee policy. UDI aim at the Norwegian immigration and refugee policies are implemented as efficiently, correctly and considerably as possible.

Kort beskrivelse:
The Reception Centre is a part of UDI's stand-by plan for asylum reception operation. The contract shall cover UDI's requirement for maintenance and stand-by services at the Reception Centre, as well as accommodation in connection with sporadic arrivals. The Arrival centre Finnmark is the first place of residency for asylum seekers who seek apply for protection to the Norwegian Immigration Authorities in Finnmark. At the Arrival centre Finnmark each asylum seeker shall register the asylum application to the Police. Other asylum seekers shall be relocated to the Arrival Centre Østfold for registration.
