Statens vegvesen [the Norwegian Public Roads Administration] is working to find methods to assess and map the condition of the existing post-tensioned concrete structures. Post-tensioned concrete bridges make up an important group of bridges in Norway It is of the utmost importance that these bridges are monitored in the best manner to ensure lifetime and safety in the use period. There are concerns for the quality of the grouting of cable channels and anchorage of structures prior to 2005, due to earlier lack of standards covering function, properties and test methods for injection mortar. Poor control and lack of quality in several joints in the injection process can have resulted in cavities, poor adhesion, lack of force transfer and/or bleeding. This can lead to corrosion of tension cables.

Inspection of post-tensioned construction systems is difficult because pre-stressed steel, anchoring and channels are cast-in solid concrete. For pre-stressed steel structures, measuring corrosion potential and possibly corrosion speed and evaluation of these is complicated. This is because the cables are placed inside reinforcement in the concrete cross section, and so at great depth from the surface, and because they are placed in cable pipes with grouting compound.

Tenderers must present the following documentation proof if requested by the Contracting Authority.

Tax and VAT certificate.

The certificate must not be older than six months from the tender deadline.

Foreign companies shall present certificates that substantiate the fact that the tenderer has met the obligations in relation to the payment of tax and duties.

Minste nivå(er) av standarder:

The tenderer must be in an orderly situation in terms of payment of tax, employer's National Insurance contributions and value-added tax.

Tenderers shall confirm that they comply with this requirement when submitting their tenders.

Tenderers must present the following documentation proof if requested by the Contracting Authority.

Tenderers shall enclose a list of the most important relevant deliveries and services performed during the past 3 years, including information on the point in time, a brief description of the assignment, as well as the name of the public or private recipients.

A minimum of 2 (maximum 5) reference assignments must be provided.

In addition to the documentation that the tenderer has submitted, the contracting authority may emphasise its own documented experience with the tenderer.
