Oslo kommune has started works to secure the previous landfill site at Langøyene and facilitate for recreation and bathing for Oslo’s growing population. The measures will i.a. Involve covering of the landfill surface on land and at sea, establishment of a water and sewage network to the coming submarine cable to the mainland (the submarine cable is a separate project), establishment of quay fronts and new Ruter quays, as we all new service facilities.
