2 consultant groups will be engaged to work in parallel for a period of 10 months to develop further and document 4 nominated variations of a floating bridge solution.
Alternative K11:
Floating bridge, which in the horizontal plane, functions as an arched bridge. The bridge is only attached at each end.
Alternative K12:
Floating bridge, which in the horizontal plane, functions as an arched bridge equivalent to K11. In addition there is an anchoring system. The idea is that the anchoring system is only activated during extreme events so that, in such situations, it can prevent progressive break development for the construction, which could not otherwise be excluded.

Floating bridge, which in the horizontal plane, functions as a girder bridge. The bridge is attached at each end and, in addition, has anchoring lines to anchors on the seabed. The anchoring lines will ensure the necessary stiffness for the bridge in the horizontal plane. The bridge is rectilinear in the horizontal plane.

Floating bridge similar to K13, but in this alternative, only the high bridge part of the bridge is rectilinear. The floating bridge part is curved.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
The decision on the continuation of the bridge project after Assignment Part A has been carried out will be made by the project's management group. This decision will be made in autumn 2019 on the basis of the status of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration´s work on the new E39 Stord-Os, including the achieved results for the floating bridge after Assignment Part A has been completed. The need for services beyond what is stated for Assignment Part A will be an option called Assignment Part B. Assignment Part B will be engineering design and inspection work for the floating bridge solution that.

The Contracting Authority choose for Bjørnafjorden. Assignment Part B will be based on contract provisions in accordance with NS 8401. The tentative milestone plan for Assignment Part B is given in Chapter D, Table 2. The deadline for taking up the option for Assignment Part B is 15.1.2020. See Chapter D for further information.

The tenderer shall be a legally established company. Documentation requirement: Company Registration Certificate from a Register of Business Enterprises Foreign tenderers can submit an equivalent certificate in accordance with the legislation in the tenderer's country of establishment.

Økonomisk og finansiell stilling:
Tenderers must have experience from work of the same nature, scope and degree of difficulty. Description of the tenderer´s most relevant assignments in the last 10 years. A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 assignments must be described. The description must include a statement of:

Documentation requirement:
It is the tenderer's responsibility to document relevance through the description.

Tenderers must have the requisite financial foundation to comply with the contractual obligations. Tenderers are required to be credit worthy. See the tender documentation for detailed information.
Teknisk og faglig kapasitet:
Tenderers shall have sufficient experience with assignments of a corresponding nature and degree of difficulty. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration and other builder's experiences with the tenderer will be assessed. HSE: Tenderers must have a system for proactive compliance of health, safety and the working environment. See the tender documentation for further information.
