The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Western Region, would like, on behalf of Rogaland County, (hereafter called the Contracting Authority), to invite tenderers to an open tender contest for the operation of the county road ferry route Mekjarvik - Kvitsøy.
Received tenders will be seen as an application for a licence to operate the route, and the chosen tenderer must operate the route in question in the licence/contract period.
A licence will be awarded for a period of 7 years and 1 month, calculated from 1.12.2019.

A licence will be awarded for a period of 7 years and 1 month, calculated from 1.12.2019.
The contract type is gross contract. This means that all ticket income is to go to the Contracting Authority. The operator will receive a fixed contractual remuneration for the service.
Beskrivelse av fornyelser:
The Contracting Authority has an option to extend the operation and contract period for up to 60 months, based on the same terms as stated in the contract. Such an option can be taken up for one or several periods, up to a maximum of 60 months.
Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
The Contracting Authority has the right to take up an option for low emissions.

Minste nivå(er) av standarder:
Tenderers must fulfil all the terms for obtaining a Licence for scheduled passenger transport by vessel, cf. the Professional Transport Regulations § 4 and §§ 6-10.
Tenderers must have relevant competence and experience.
