The OB Bus will be a traditional coax installation, so the air conditioning and electrical system must be sized accordingly. It is important that the electrical installation and cooling/heating system take the Norwegian climate into account and have separate set-ups for rack and work room.

We primarily envision a vehicle solution of 5,5 t, but that under no circumstances will exceed 7,5 t. The vehicle must be dependable and good to drive on Norwegian roads (topography) in both summer and winter.
List of equipment that will be in the Limpe-3 is an appendix to the competition. Most of the equipment is permanent in the vehicle, but some equipment, such as CCUs. EVS’ and graphic equipment will vary in number. Simple access to take this equipment in and out of the vehicle, as well as connection, are important as they reduce time and effort of people and equipment.

NRK anticipates applications only from suppliers who are qualified to: order the correct vehicle, plan, construct, test and deliver a rack ready OB-bus that Norwegian road authorities will easily approve.
