Holmlia School is a secondary school with 4 parallel classes and 350 pupils. The school was constructed in 1984 and its technical installations mainly date back to this time. The renovation involves a total replacement of the ventilation installations, heating installations with radiators and the electrical installations. Parts of the sanitary installations will also be included.
The school currently has three ventilation rooms that must be considerably extended in order to make room for new aggregates. In addition there will be some alterations for changed needs at the school. The outer roofs are to have new insulation and roofing paper and are to be covered with solar cells combined with roof tiles. The windows and outside doors are to be replaced. The school yard is to be upgraded with a new asphalt cover, elements that provide activity and benches for sitting on. Initiatives for fulfilling the universal design requirements are to be included in the project as far as this is possible in an existing school.
