County Road 541 Sakseid-Hestaneset

Statens vegvesen

The project is a turnkey contract that comprises engineering design services, execution and inspections of the new county road 541 from Sakseid to Hestaneset in Bømlo Municipality, as well as engineering design services and execution of work included in the land contracts with the landowners along the route.
The project is split into two parts, with a main part and an option part:
Part 1: “Våge — Hestaneset profile 3250 to 9970”
Part 2: Option “Sakseid — Våge profile 80 to 3250”.
The project consists of the development plan 'Development Plan County Road 541 Sakseid – Hestaneset' with the National Area Plan-ID 1219201406 dated 13.2.2017.
The project also includes work involved in laying conduits and new electrical installations for Finnås Kraftlag (FK) and moving and establishing water and sewage pipelines for Bømlo vatn og avløpsselskap AS (BVA). Conduits are also to be laid and drawing manholes are to be established for Telenor´s sub-supplier, Eltel (ET), in a joint street light ditch on parts of the lot.

The road has a total length of approx. 10 km. For the 50 km/h zone past Kuleseid and the 60 km/h zone on the stretch Kuleseid-Hidle, the road is to be constructed in accordance with dimension class Sa2 and H1, with a road width of 6,5 m, the remainder is to be constructed in accordance with dimension class HØ2, 7.5 m. This dimension class applies to county roads with a speed limit of 80 km/h and with a dimensioned annual daily traffic count above 1500 vehicles. The same standard is to be constructed over the entire stretch, even if the amount of traffic could allow a lower standard on parts of the road.

A foot/cycle path is to be separated from the main road with a verge of 1,5 m between profile 1200-2200 and 2665-3500 and railings between profile 2200-2665.
New bus lay-bys are to be located in the approx. profile areas 1480, 1580, 1960, 2040, 2570, 2720, 3330, 3440, 4050, 4160, 6460, 6570, 8620 and 8730.
2 new bridges and 4 major constructions are to be engineered and executed in the project, as stated in table 1.1 in the tender documentation.
In addition to the constructions mentioned above, earth mounds, animal underpasses, agricultural exits and minor exits are to be engineered and executed in accordance with the development plan map and land contracts.
Junctions and exits are to be engineered and executed in accordance with the development plan in approx. profile area 12, 90, 270, 625, 1285, 1428, 1532, 1625, 1768, 1902, 2028, 2213, 2598, 2690, 3046, 3382, 4070, 5195, 6522, 8680, 8775, 8977, 9814.
A sea filling is to be established in profile area approx. 600 — 820, with special restrictions for revegetation, design, planting and a return of vegetation that is natural road vegetation for this area.
The main road with a road width of 7,5 m is to be engineered and executed with reinforced central markings.
Intensively lit pedestrian crossings must also be engineered and executed, which are suitable for the assembly of lit pedestrian crossing signs at a later date.
The entire stretch, including transition zones and transition zones to municipal roads must be lit. The contractor must do the necessary light calculations and engineering for the lighting installations in accordance with the Norwegian Public Road Administration´s hand books.

Challenging geological conditions are expected. The contractor must have persons with rock engineering/geology engineering competence on site during the entire construction period.
The project will be carried out on the basis of drawings.
