‘Inn på tunet’ shall primarily provide an offer for younger persons with dementia. The offer should also be open to physically fit older persons with dementia. The 2020 Dementia Plan highlights the importance of having a meaningful and tailored offer for persons with dementia. ‘Inn på tunet’ shall fulfil a function that an ordinary day centre cannot. ‘Inn på tunet’ is an offer that shall provide the possibility for people with dementia to master and experience activities as meaningful. The Contracting Authority is responsible for the management of municipal old peoples´ homes and nursing homes, and for contract management of non-municipal old peoples´ homes and nursing homes (hereafter called long-term homes). This involves the follow-up of a total of 44 long-term homes and 4 health centres. In addition the Contracting Authority has a framework agreement for the procurement of up to 15 day centre places for young persons with dementia - Inn på tunet.
