18/1422 — Procurement of Microsoft licences for Statistics Norway

Statistisk Sentralbyrå

Statistics Norway uses products from Microsoft in large parts of its IT environment, both on the server and client side and, not least, for office suite and interaction systems. We have a mix of on-premise and cloud, with office suite largely cloud based in the form of Office 365, whilst the server systems based on Windows are run in a separate computer centre.
Our existing EA (Enterprise Agreement) contract was signed on 28.2.2018 and is valid for 3 years.
This competition will result in a contract with a Microsoft Licensing Solutions Partner (LSP), who can process orders for licences and subscriptions for Microsoft's entire portfolio. Our licence provider will also assist in the annual true-up and any revisions.
The Microsoft licence provider must also be able to offer consultancy services for the management of the Microsoft licences, i.e. SAM (Software Asset Management) consultancy services.
