The New Vestsiden lower secondary school — A partnering Turnkey contract
Kongsberg kommunale Eiendom KF
A new 5 parallell 8-10 grade school shall be constructed on the existing school lot. The new school shall have capacity for 480 students. The maximum area of the school is 4 800 m². A new gymnasium with an area of approx. 1 000 m², alternatively a multipurpose hall with a maximum area of 2 100 m² shall be integrated in the building. If the multipurpose hall is decided constructed, the hall shall comply with the requirements for lottery funds for sporting purposes from the Ministry of Culture.
An option for the construction of a residential building in the same area (south of Vandrehjemmet) will also be included in the contract.
The project shall be implemented as a partnering turnkey contract, with completion/hand-over to the contracting authority 1.6.2019.

Kongsberg Municipal Property (henceforth also referred to as KKE) shall construct a top modern school and has high expectations in regard to the environment, energy efficiency and the lifetime of the building. In order to achieve the best possible result, it is vital that the contracting authority and the contractor can work closely together. The selected contractor must thus have an organisation, possibly a binding co-operation with other companies, suitable for a properly functioning co-operation with KKE, and that can be adaptable to the implemented project.
