Kripos has the operative responsibility for a boat that participates in rescue actions managed by Frontex in the ongoing migration crisis in the Mediterranean area.
The blankets shall be used during the transportation of migrants on board. The migrants stay on deck during the crossing, with minimal protection from weather and wind. The migrants are not able to stay inside during freezing temperatures, precipitation or illness, due to the danger of contamination. This danger also means that the blankets cannot be reused.
The main aim of the blankets is to provide protection from the cold, wind and water during the crossing, which can last for up to 60 hours. The migrants sit and partly lie on a hard surface during the crossing and the blankets ought, therefore, contribute to making this as comfortable as possible.

Based on previous years' procurements, the Contracting Authority, without obligation, estimates a scope of approx. 20 000 units during the agreement period. A drastic reduction in the number of migrants will lead to the need for blankets abating.
Varighet: 12 måneder
Beskrivelse av fornyelser:
The Contracting Authority has the option to extend the agreement on verbatim terms for 1 year, so that the total possible agreement length becomes 2 years.

Vilkår for deltakelse
Egnethet til å utøve yrkesvirksomheten:
Tenderer shall substantiate that the enterprise is legally established.
— Norwegian companies: Company Registration Certificate.
— Foreign companies: Proof that the company is registered in a professional registry as determined by the law of the country where the tenderer is established.
The certificate should not be more than 12 months old.
