Godt Vann Drammensregionen ‘Good Water Drammen Region] is a collaboration between eight municipalities (Røyken, Hurum and Lier via Viva IKS, Drammen, Modum, Nedre Eiker, Svelvik and Øvre Eiker), as well as Glitrevannverket IKS. In 2009 the municipalities entered into individual agreements with two different companies for the transport, treatment and disposal of sewage sludge from the region’s sewage treatment plants. The agreements have a duration up until 1.7.2018 and the municipalities want to enter into new agreements.. The aim is for the agreements to be signed in summer 2017, with effect from 1.7.2018. It may also be relevant to either enter into separate agreements for receiving of septic sludge from septic tanks and the like, or to connect these services to the agreement for treatment etc. of sludge. The Inspection Service for small sewage systems will, in addition to the municipalities, be an agreement partner for receiving of septic sludge.
